Finding Her in Him

Everything on her journey to finding herself came in ways that were both beautiful, and yet painful. Breaking away from the people and things that distracted her from getting where God wanted her to be. Her moments of isolation, just to face her real self. Nothing could be found looking outside of herself, but only within. She wanted God to give her His heart in exchange for her own. Getting alone with Him to find out His plan for her life became something that she was in constant pursuit of. She began to see that the life that she wanted for herself was not the life He wanted for her. But rather, she needed to take on the life He predestined for her. When she made seeking God her last resort, He had a way of getting her attention through the groaning and moaning of her soul. And through the distress and pain of loss. She was desperate for Him. He would always respond through her worship. She was reminded that she was not placed in the earth by happenstance, but that He had a divine purpose for her life. She could no longer live her life through the eyes of other people and their expectations of her. And with doing that, she would have to rise above the tyranny of other people’s thoughts about her. And to this day, she continues to rise above. Rise above what hurt her. Rise above adversity. Rise above doubt and unbelief. Rise above the circumstances that try to weigh her down. She’s on the rise and not looking back. She had to lose her life by totally giving it up for a more fulfilling life in God. She sought Him. She became lost in Him. And He found her, completely surrendered.

She is me.

I was lost.

But now I’m found.

Dear Father, there is someone desiring to have Your divine purpose for their life. Show them that a life in You is a life of complete fulfillment. When they find themselves wandering aimlessly and become lost, pull them back close to You. Father, never allow them to be too far out of Your reach. Help them to constantly seek You for direction in their life. I ask that You give them the strength and courage to do Your will while not giving up in the process. May their trust be in You and Your ability to bring their purpose to pass. May You meet them right where they are and be with them on this journey of doing life Your way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
